&8220;Cactus&8221; Arthur, 48, of Owatonna, died Friday, April 13, 2007, of a heart attack.
Mark graduated in 1977 from Albert Lea High School.
He is survived by his mate, Joanne Langer of Owatonna; two daughters, Nichole and Brianna Arthur of Albert Lea; former wife, Peggy Adams of Albert Lea; stepson, Jerrod Vrieze of Albert Lea; mother and stepfather, Jim and Marilyn Wendt of Albert Lea; sister and brother-in-law, Vicky and Doug Sanderson of Eden Prairie, mother-in-law, Audrey Langer of Owatonna; sister-in-law and husband Diane and Rick Danielson of Owatonna; sister-in-law, Liz Langer of Owatonna; two goddaughters, Hallie Jo Hammer and Tawni Christensen of Albert Lea; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Arthur; father, Dennis Arthur; his father-in-law
Don Langer; and grandparents, Anna and Clarence Moe and Leonard and Grace Arthur.
Mark worked at Dave&8217;s Auto Body in Waseca. He enjoyed hunting, camping and remodeling projects, but he spent much of his leisure time working on race cars with his friends and shared his love of racing with his daughter, Nichole. Mark and his youngest daughter, Brianna, enjoyed the PS2 game system together as she consistently beat him at the James Bond games. Of all of his pastimes, though, his true heart was for fishing, which he shared with a few, but enjoyed best as a solitary pursuit.
Services for Mark will be held at Our Savior&8217;s Lutheran Church on St. Paul Road in Owatonna today at 4:30 p.m. There will be a social gathering from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the church before the service. Lunch and coffee will be served after the service. Flowers and memorials can be sent directly to Our Savior&8217;s Lutheran Church in Owatonna.
