Wolverines fall to Mabel-Canton, 4-2

The Glenville-Emmons baseball team couldn&8217;t hold a 2-0 lead over Mabel-Canton Thursday. M-C scored four runs in the fifth and went on for the 4-2 win.
G-E scored with two outs in the third as Logan Hansen drew a walk, stole second and scored on an Isaiah Iverson single.
Hansen also scored in the fifth getting on with a walk, moving to third on a pair of passed balls and scoring on a double steal.
However, the lead would not last as M-C got a bases loaded triple to score three of its four runs in the fifth.
Bridger Bjorklund pitched four innings walking one and striking out one before he was relieved in the fifth by Aaron Wuerflein.
G-E managed just one hit in the game as it struck out 10 times.
&8220;We just need to swing the bats,&8221; G-E head coach Louie Toulouse said. &8220;It will come with the more games we play.&8221;
M-C had just five hits in the game.
The Wolverines were back in action Saturday at a tournament in New Richland.
