Donna Morine Hatfield, 75, of Austin, died Monday evening, May 28, 2007, at St. Mark&8217;s Lutheran Home in Austin.
She was born March 30, 1932, to Walter and Dorothy (Noble) Klingfus in Austin, where she lived her entire life. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John&8217;s Lutheran Church in Austin and graduated from Austin High School in 1950. In 1951 she married James &8220;Jim&8221; Johnson. Jim passed away in 1958. Donna married Ronald Hatfield in 1960, and they later divorced. She worked at Streeters in Albert Lea for 26 years. She loved to read, spend time with her family and trips to Branson.
Survivors include two daughters, Tammy (Patrick) Wehner of Blooming Prairie; Nancee (Thomas) Easter of Menomonie, Wis.; four grandchildren, Sam and Hannah Wehner, Donald and Jonathan Easter; two sisters, Shirley (John) Flink of Rose Creek; Ethel (Roger) Anderson of Austin; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dale and Karen Johnson of Austin; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mom and dad; first husband, James &8220;Jim&8221; Johnson; and two infant daughters, Bonnie and Brenda Johnson.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m.Friday at St. John&8217;s Lutheran Church in Austin with the Rev. William Natzke officiating. Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m., Thursday at Worlein Funeral Home in Austin and at the church one hour prior to the service on Friday. Interment is at Red Oak Grove Lutheran Cemetery, rural Austin.
