Funeral services for Evelyn V. Bowman, 82, of Geneva, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the Community Lutheran Church of Geneva. The Rev. Joel Xavier will officiate. Interment will be in the Geneva Cemetery.

Evelyn passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2007, at St. John&8217;s Lutheran Home
Evelyn Victoria Bowman was born April 23, 1925, in Big Lake (near Scandia), the daughter of Ernest and Elsie (Sodergren) Anderson.
She attended high school in Osceola, Wis., and was a graduate of the Minnesota School of Business in Minneapolis. On Nov. 15, 1947, Evelyn was married to Fred Bowman. The couple moved from Minneapolis to a farm near Hollandale where they farmed until retiring in 1977 and moving to Geneva. Evelyn was a homemaker, very active in church activities, a regular visitor to St. John&8217;s Lutheran Home, and loved to garden and collect dolls. She was a member of the Community Lutheran Church in Geneva.
Survivors include her sons: Ronald and wife Patricia Bowman of Minong, Wis., Samuel and wife Susan Bowman of Tuscaloosa, Ala., and Gerald and wife Roxann Bowman of Plymouth; five grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Fred, and an infant son, Kenneth.
