Marvin David Koziolek, 65, died on Thursday, May 24, 2007, at Albert Lea Medical Center.
The funeral service for Marvin Koziolek will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Church of All Saints Catholic Church in New Richland. The Rev. Thien Nguyen will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Friedrich Funeral Home in New Richland and one hour before the service at the church.
Marvin was born in Wells on July 7, 1941, the son of Stanley and Agnes (Klocek) Koziolek. He was a 1959 graduate of New Richland High School.
On June 13, 1964, Marvin was united in marriage with Judy Torgerson in New Richland. They are members of All Saints Catholic Church.
Marvin had lived his life in the New Richland area. He worked for Armstrong Creamery until 1961, Albert Lea Freezer Company until 1984 and then became owner/operator of Marv’s Gun Shop in Emmons and Albert Lea until his retirement in 2006.
Marvin was a member of NRA, Iowa Chapter of Ducks Unlimited, New Richland Sportsman&8217;s Club, and Gun Clubs in Albert Lea, Owatonna, Freeborn, and New Richland. He enjoyed skeet shooting, hunting, and hobby farming.
Marvin is survived by his wife Judy of New Richland; six children: David Koziolek of Hartland, John Koziolek of New Richland, Thomas (Suzanne) Koziolek of New Richland, Mark (Diane) Koziolek of Janesville, Randy Koziolek of New Richland, and Teresa Koziolek of New Richland; four grandchildren: Kameron, Kasandra, Koleton, and Karter Koziolk of New Richland; one brother, James Koziolek of Glenville; two sisters: Lorraine Wallace of Geneva and Betty Gavle of Albert Lea; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister-in-law and two brothers-in-law.
