Pit bull becomes aggressive with child

A 4-year-old child was playing in his yard at 6 p.m. Sunday 507 W. College St. when a loose pit bull came up to the child and started playing, then became aggressive and latched on to the child&8217;s left arm, according to police reports. The child was seen for injuries at the Albert Lea Medical Center. The owner of the dog is unknown and the dog has not been found.

Two arrested for fighting, breaking a door

Zachary Gordon, 24, of Albert Lea and Cole Matthies, 23, of Albert Lea were arrested at 1 a.m. Saturday at the Nasty Habit, 134. W. William, for assault and property damage, according to police reports.

Witnesses said the two individuals walked into the bar and assaulted another man, after which the bouncers removed the two men. Officers arrived on the scene and found Gordon and Matthies pounding on the door to get back into the Nasty Habit. One then shattered the door with brass knuckles.

Gordon was arrested for aiding and abetting criminal damage to property and assault. Matthies was arrested for criminal property damage and assault, the report stated.
