Richard Carlson, 80, of Albert Lea

Graveside services for Richard Harold Carlson of Albert Lea, will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at the Clarks Grove Cemetery, Clarks Grove. The Reverend John Henriksen will officiate.
Mr. Carlson died Friday morning, May 11, 2007, at the Good Samaritan Center in Albert Lea. He was 80 years of age.
Richard was born November 10, 1926 in Albert Lea, the son of Lawrence and Minnie (Ranum) Carlson. He attended public school in Ellendale. He spent part of his life in Ellendale and later moved to Albert Lea where he was employed by Midway Motors from 1958 until 1975. Richard then worked for seven years for Sears and later for the Albert Lea Tribune. In his free time, he enjoyed working in his yard.
Richard is survived by one sister, Helen (Milton) Felske of El Cajon, Calif., nieces, Darlene (Keith) Benesch of Albert Lea, Susan (Brian) Larson of Albert Lea, Jan (Ron) Reshetar of Albert Lea, and one nephew Jim (Ava) Doppelhammer, Charleston, Ill. Also surviving are several grand nieces and grand nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Ruby Doppelhammer and Audrey Jensen and one brother, Donald Carlson.
