USC loses game, 6-2

BLUE EARTH &8212; A couple of errors and a big inning cost the United South Central baseball team against Blue Earth Area Monday.

Blue Earth broke open a 2-2 game in the fourth inning with three runs and went on for the 6-2 win.

USC took a two run lead in the first as the first two batters were hit by a pitch before Luke Beyer brought in the first run with a sacrifice fly and the second run scored on a ground out.

Chris Yost went 2-for-4 for the Rebels in the game.

Blue Earth used two walks and two base hits to load the bases before getting its three runs in the fourth.

The loss moved the Rebels to 11-9 on the season as they prepare for their sub-section game with New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Gevena Thursday in Wells.
