WWII bomb found in basement

Police were called to 214 Second Ave. at 7:25 p.m. Wednesday after a man found an old World War II mortar bomb in the basement at the residence, according to police.

Police stated the individual&8217;s parents had passed away, so he had come in to clean out the house when he found the bomb.

The Bloomington Bomb Squad was called in to respond, and the bomb was detonated at the Albert Lea Airport.

Four arrested for meth

Four people were arrested at about 2 p.m. Wednesday for fifth-degree controlled substance of methamphetamine at 803 Ramsey St., according to Freeborn County Sheriff&8217;s Office reports. Charges are expected to be filed today on the individuals once the county attorney gets the report.

Stereo reported stolen

A stereo was reported taken from a &8217;95 Pontiac Bonneville at 419 Adams Ave. at 3:06 p.m. Wednesday, police reports stated.

Garage door spray painted

A garage door at 711 Madison Ave. was reported spray painted to police at 3:48 p.m. Wednesday, according to police reports.
