A good charity for soldiers

Many charities in America come and go, but every now and then there is one that comes along that you know will be around for a long time.
We thought we&8217;d bring your attention to Homes for Our Troops.
Believe it or not, it has been around for three years. It was founded in 2004 by construction supervisor John Gonsalves of Massachusetts. He started a fund drive to build homes for returning disabled soldiers and received an overwhelming response. Now, Homes for Our Troops is a nationwide organization.
Its mission statement reads:
&8220;Homes for Our Troops is a nonpartisan, nonprofit 501 (c)(3) organization that provides specially adapted homes for our severely wounded service members of our military.
Through our growing network of donations from building contractors, suppliers, corporate supporters and local volunteers, we are able to provide our assistance at no cost to the veterans that we serve.&8221;
That&8217;s an altruistic purpose. Here are people who sacrifice mobility, sight, organs, you name it, for our country. The least we can do is to help them live their lives.
We salute Homes for Our Troops. Visit www.homesforourtroops.org.
