The funeral service for Daniel R. Underland will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea.

Interment will be in First Lutheran Cemetery, Ellendale.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea, and one hour before the service.

Daniel (Dan) Richard Underland, 46, of Clear Lake, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly June 16, 2007.

He was born Sept. 19, 1960, in Owatonna, the son of Richard and Darlene (Goette) Underland of Ellendale.

Dan grew up in the area and graduated from Ellendale High School. He had worked at Trucker&8217;s Inn of Ellendale, and Blount Industries of Owatonna before moving to Clear Lake where he made his home and worked at Charlson Excavating, Co. in Clear Lake.

He was an avid racing fan, especially enjoying NASCAR races.

He is survived by his three children, Alison (John) Rathai, of Medford, Candy Underland and son Tanner (grandson), of Owatonna and Jeremiah Underland of Waseca; his mother Darlene Underland of Ellendale; fiancee&8217; Angel Hepperly of Clear Lake; his sister Debbie Carter of Big Lake; and many uncles, aunts, nieces and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his father Richard Underland; grandparents Albert and Laura Goette and Elmer and Alice Underland; aunt Tina Goette; uncle Loren Goette; and cousins Brian and Mark Goette.
