OWATONNA &8212; Things started well for the Albert Lea Legion baseball team when Mitch Wenum connected on a three-run home run in the top of the first. However, the momentum would not continue in a 14-5 loss to Owatonna.

The Huskies pounded out nine runs on nine hits in the second inning as both teams hit the ball hard throughout the game.

Joel Eisenbraun had a sacrifice fly to score a run and Post 56&8217;s other score came on a passed ball.

Albert Lea got several strong defensive plays in the game including an impressive catch by Jared Gavle in center.

Albert Lea is back in action Tuesday at home when it hosts Stewartville for a doubleheader starting at 5 p.m.
