Albert Lea&8217;s Keith Porter aced the 153-yard par-3 third hole at the Clarks Grove Golf Course on Tuesday. Porter stroked the hole-in-one with a 6-iron.

Gun safety course begins Aug. 15

Firearms safety classes will begin on Aug. 15 and run for five Wednesday sessions from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Albert Lea Moose Club. The class is open to children at least 12 years old. A copy of the child&8217;s birth certificate is requested and a parent or legal guardian must register with the child. The cost is $8.50.
