Funeral services for Audrey M. Boardman, 79, of Albert Lea will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home. The Rev. Kent Otterman will officiate. Audrey died Thursday, July 12, 2007, in her home at Albert Lea Good Samaritan&8217;s Hidden Creek Estates.
Audrey Mae Boardman was born June 10, 1928, to Oscar E. and May (Hanson) Myran in Albert Lea. She attended schools in Manchester, Freeborn, and Albert Lea, graduating from Albert Lea High School in 1946. Audrey also attended Waldorf College. She had been employed as a secretary by United Airlines in Denver, Colo., and San Francisco, Calif., and had traveled all over the world.
Survivors include cousins, Ramona Petersen of Alexandria, Sonja Troe, Steve Hoelscher, Shari Jensen, and Lloyd Bottelson, all of Albert Lea, Allan Meyer of Lakeville, Dan Myran of Apple Valley and other cousins; and special friends: Pat and Luther Wasmoen of Plymouth, Lillian Jensen of Wells, and Barbara Isola of Burlingame, Calif.
Audrey was preceded in death by her parents; twin siblings, John and Joan in infancy; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Memorials are preferred to the Good Samaritan Hidden Creek Assisted Living or Crossroads Community Hospice.
