Marguerite Jansma, 91, Duluth

Marguerite M. Jansma, &8220;Grandma Petey,&8221; 91, of Duluth, and former resident of Albert Lea, died on June 28, 2007, of natural causes.
She was born in Colorado, lived in Hollandale, finally settling in Albert Lea for more than 45 years. Petey graduated as a registered nurse from Naeve Hospital in 1938. She and Gordy were married for 56 years before his death in 1995. Petey was very active at the First Presbyterian Church in Albert Lea for many years in Tuesday Club, church council, and choir. She loved reading, listening to music, growing roses, and camping in local parks with Gordy. She was a friend and &8220;Grandma&8221; and to many people and will be missed by us all.
Preceded in death by husband, Gordon, and son, Michael.
Survived by daughter, Kathy and Doug Falk, Aitkin; son, David and Pat Jansma of Waco, Texas; grandchildren, Beth Hyser, Susan Johnson, Lisa Angel, Steve Jansma, Jennifer Jansma, and Kim Marlin; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to share in a memorial service honoring her life on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 308 Water St., Albert Lea. Gifts will be given to the First Presbyterian Church in her memory.
