Permits are issued for five new homes

Both city and county building permits for June were dominated by new homes.
Two of these permits were issued for new single family residential units within Albert Lea and three were issued by the Freeborn County Planning and Zoning Office.
The Albert Lea Inspection Department issued 59 building permits with a valuation of $1,253,7i2 during June. This increases the total valuation for permits issued during the first half of the year to $16,450,712.
At the end of June 2006 the city report lists the total valuation for permits issued as $10,210,533.
The commercial permit with the highest valuation in June was for $150,000 and issued to the Ehrhardt Family for the remodeling of the building at the corner of South Broadway Avenue and West College Street.
The Freeborn County Planning and Zoning Office issued 20 building permits with an estimated valuation of $812,760 during June. This increases the listed valuation for county permits to $3,776,438 for the first half of the year.
Besides the three new homes, the county-issued permits also included two garages and five home additions.
