Stanley Johnson, 64, Albert Lea

The funeral service for Stanley Melvin Johnson of Albert Lea will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Theodore Catholic Church. The Rev. Jim Berning and Deacon Mike Ellis will officiate. Interment will be in St. Theodore Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m.

today at Bonnerup Funeral Service and one hour prior to the service at the church. Military honors will be accorded.

Stanley died Monday, July 2, 2007, at Good Samaritan Center, Albert Lea. He was 64 years old.

Stanley was born Oct. 3, 1942, to Roland and Jurine (Arett) Johnson. He married Mary Rita Perez on May 26, 1970, at Sioux Falls, S.D. Stanley attended Albert Lea and Austin High School. He also attended Albert Lea Vocational

Technical College in the diesel mechanic program.

Stanley was a veteran of the United States Army.

He was a member

St. Theodore Catholic Church.

Stanley had worked for the Rock Island Railroad and Freeborn Foods.

He was a member of the American Legion and a lifetime member of the DAV.

Stanley liked driving around.

His special interest was his family and he especially enjoyed his grandchildren.

Stanley is survived by his wife Mary Rita Johnson of Albert Lea; mother:

Jurine Johnson of Albert Lea; nine children: Joe Ramirez, Don Ramirez, Anthony Ramirez, Esther (Ramirez) Martinez and her husband Luis, David Ramirez, Rachel Ramirez, Mike Johnson and his wife Marie (Anderson), Jon Johnson and Michelle Johnson and her husband Kenneth;

21 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three brothers: Bill Johnson and his special friend Donna of Albert Lea, Ron Johnson and his wife Barbara of Austin, and Kenny Johnson and his wife Linda of Sioux City, Iowa; and Marsha Kuntz and her husband Harlan of St. Ansgar, Iowa;

and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Stanley was preceded in death by his father:

Eli Perez and Richard Perez; sister-in-law:

Lupe Ramos; granddaughter: Jamie Gonzalez.
