The Albert Lea 14-year-old baseball team completed another successful season compiling a 19-8 record overall and winning the South Central League with a perfect 10-0 mark.

The team had a 4-2 record at the MBT State Tournament and a 1-2 mark at the MSF State Tournament. Its two losses came against the top two teams.

Albert Lea&8217;s team had just 10 players on the roster, but it has a 47-13 mark overall the past two years and has not been defeated in league play over that time.

This is the first year the kids played on a regulation size field with high school rules.

&8220;The kids got a lot better and we played against a lot bigger teams,&8221; head coach Dave Klatt said. &8220;Our defense was second to none, we just didn&8217;t always get the offense we needed to get the wins.&8221;

The team was also coached by Ed Bellrichard and Travis Klatt.
