Gary Lamb, 69, Emmons

Gary Nolan Lamb, age 69, of Emmons died Thursday, Aug. 2, 2007, at the Albert Lea Good Samaritan Center. At his request, there will be no services.
Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Gary was born July 26, 1938, to Howard E. and Ina (Tennant) Lamb in Santa Rosa, Calif.
He grew up in Camas, Wash., and attended Camas High School and Foothill College in San Jose, Calif. Gary served in the United States Army and then the United States Navy. He was a power plant operator and owned and operated the Family Tree Restaurant with his wife, Renate. Gary had lived in Emmons for the last 12 years, where he owned the Emmons Grocery. He was a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association. Gary loved flying, spending time outdoors, camping and picnics, and hunting.
Survivors include his wife Renate; children: Susan (Lamb) Lopez, Penny (Lamb) Freeman, Vincent Lamb and Michael Lamb; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several cousins.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents; infant sons, Gary and Keith; and several aunts and uncles.
