Mary Van Rossum, 72, Wells

Mary Rita Van Rossum, 72, of Wells, died Tuesday, July 31, 2007, at Parkview Care Center in Wells. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells. The Rev. Eugene Stenzel will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery in Wells. Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mary Van Rossum was born Feb. 3, 1935, in Wells, the daughter of Joe V. and Mabel (Tillmoney) Dulas. Mary attended school in Wells and graduated in 1952. After high school she attended nursing school in Rochester, and graduated in 1959. After graduation she worked in Mankato, and later she worked at the hospital in Wells. She met Theodore Van Rossum and they joined hands in marriage on May 18, 1968, in Wells. Mary enjoyed collecting angels and bears. She enjoyed going to rummage sales, helping other people and watching the Minnesota Vikings, Timberwolves and Twins.
Mary is survived by two brothers: David (Dottie) Dulas of Minneapolis and James (Jean) Dulas of Wells; three sisters, Jeanette (John) Petermen of Cloverdale, Calif., Kathleen Boik and special friend Stan Harper of Downey, Calif., and Corrine (Clayton) Kruger of Walters; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Dulas of Markesan, Wis. and Cleone Dulas of Albert Lea; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers, Dan, Rich and Phil; and one sister, Louise.
