Smith comes down every day to Geneva to check out the business operations.

&8220;They&8217;re doing a good job &8212; making lots of repairs and updating equipment,&8221; said Manager Diane Smith.

The federally-inspected meat processing business employs 15 people. It has been up and running for at least 40 years under various ownerships.

&8220;We are happy that there&8217;s new owners and our customers are too,&8221; Office Manager Kim Farr said.

The company sells halves and quarters of beef and pig from animals locally-grown and offers butchering services on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

The business also cuts steaks for restaurants, delivers meat up to the Twin Cities and runs a custom slaughtering operation.

Recently, the company purchased a new delivery truck to help with operations.

Throughout all the changes, Diane and Farr said they are pleased with the direction of the business.
