A pair of hockey players from Albert Lea were recently named to the Elite League.

Seniors Adam Royce and Ben Waalkens were among a select few to be invited to the High School Elite League which provides an alternative development option to junior hockey for Minnesota&8217;s top high school players and to prepare the elite player for life after high school.

The league runs from August through October with a national tournament in November.

Royce is a defenseman for the Tigers while Wallkens is a goaltender.
