Funeral services for Ryan S. Truesdell, 20, of Albert Lea, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at First Lutheran Church, Albert Lea. The Rev. John Holt will officiate. Ryan died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2007, in Glenville as a result of a work-related accident.
Ryan Scott (Pie) Truesdell was born Oct. 8, 1986, to Scott Truesdell and Sandi Blegen in Albert Lea. He was a graduate of Albert Lea High School in 2005, had completed two years of college, and was beginning his third year at RCTC, where he was studying physical education and health. Pie played baseball in Rochester and had played varsity baseball since ninth grade. He was a two-time captain of the Albert Lea Baseball team and received All Conference awards. Pie was currently playing on three softball leagues and enjoyed fishing when he was not playing ball.
Ryan is survived by his father, Scott (Diane) Truesdell of Clarks Grove; mother, Sandi (Jay) Underwood of Albert Lea; brother, Dustin of Albert Lea; sisters, Tiffany of Hopkins and Celina of Albert Lea; step brothers: Dustin Underwood of Austin, Jeremiah Morsching of Janesville, Joshua Morsching of Waterville, and Jesse Morsching of LeSueur; step sister, Jodi Morsching of Meriden; paternal grandmother, Mary Schilling of Albert Lea; maternal grandparents, Oris and Arlene Blegen of Mora; step grandmother Darleen Krause of North St. Paul; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; and best friends: Jonny Breuer, Mike Behrends, Tony Dugstad and Brock Sorenson, all of Albert Lea.
Ryan was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Harold W. Truesdell; and step grandfathers, James Krause and Ken Schilling.
