Arnold Broitzman, 87, Albert Lea

Funeral services for Arnold C. Broitzman will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church. The Rev. Kent Otterman will officiate. Interment will be in Pilgrim&8217;s Rest Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the service at the church.

Arnold died on Sunday, Sept. 2, 2007, at the Albert Lea Good Samaritan Center.

Arnold Carl Broitzman was born on Jan. 16, 1920, in Freeborn County, the son of Robert and Marie (Ziebell) Broitzman. He was a lifelong resident of southern Freeborn County. Arnold was baptized and confirmed at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church. He went to country school in Myrtle and was a farmer all his working life. In addition to his church, Arnold was a member of the Glenville Senior Citizens, and the Dartball Brotherhood at Bethlehem Lutheran. He enjoyed sports, playing games, cards, and hunting in his younger years.

Survivors include his stepsister Luetta (Mittag) Wolff of Chandler, Ariz.; stepbrother Wilbur and his wife Evelyn Mittag of Austin; stepsister-in-law Pearl Mittag of Albert Lea; and many cousins.

Arnold was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, stepmother Olga (Mittag) Broitzman, stepbrothers Luverne Mittag and Galen Mittag, and stepbrother-in-law Edward Wolff.
