A 5-year-old boy was reportedly bit by a pit bull at 5:08 p.m. Wednesday at 116 Euclid Ave., according to police reports.

Reports indicated the child and one of his siblings were standing in the driveway next to the house when they approached the neighbor and asked her if she had seen their brother. The neighbor told them to leave, but the 5-year-old boy went around her and into the backyard, where there were two pit bulls chained up, according to reports. There he was bit by one of the dogs, a 5-year-old male pit bull.

The boy was checked at the emergency room and went to Rochester for stitches. Police stated there have been no other reported incidents with this dog, and it is up-to-date with its shots.
