Edward Raymond Werner died Thursday, September 6, 2007, at his home.
Funeral services for Edward R. Werner, 42, of Albert Lea will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Salem Lutheran Church, Albert Lea. Rev. Jay Dahlvang will officiate. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Edward Raymond Werner was born on May 13, 1965, to Dean Werner and Eunice Maberry in Albert Lea. He was baptized, and confirmed, at Salem Lutheran Church. Ed attended Albert Lea School.
He lived most of his life in Freeborn County with a short time in Sioux Falls, S.D. Ed was an employee of Ring Can Corp. where he was recently honored for 20 years of service. He enjoyed snowmobiling, motorcycling, being with family and friends, video and computer games, farming, water sports and rough-housing with nieces and nephews.
Survivors include his father Dean (Kay) Werner; mother Eunice Maberry; sisters, Karla (Rick) Kelly, and their children Josh, Ben, and Lew; Kim (Scott) Heilman, and their children, Rylie, Samantha, Aspen and Emily; brother, Brian Werner; many aunts, uncles, step-grandparents, cousins, co-workers and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ray and Betty Werner, Harvey and Hazel Sorensen, and other extended family.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials.
