Erylss Flugum, 75, Glenville

Funeral services for Erylss Ann Flugum, age 75, of Glenville will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Lunder Lutheran Church, Twin Lakes. Rev. Tammy Dahlvang will officiate. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church.

Erylss died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2007, at the Austin Medical Center after a short battle with cancer.

Erylss Ann Flugum was born on Feb. 11, 1932, to Albert and Alma (Heidemann) Neve in Foster Township of Faribault County. She grew up near Walters and was a 1951 graduate of Kiester High School. Erylss was employed for a short time at Northpark in Albert Lea. She married Lyle Flugum, Sr. on June 19, 1954, at Faith Lutheran Church in Walters. After they were married, they lived in Albert Lea and moved to Glenville in 1966. Erylss was employed at Land O Lakes Foods for 23 years and retired from there in 1989. She enjoyed baking, embroidery, crossword puzzles, reading and gardening. Erylss especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Larry ( Machelle) Flugum of Albert Lea, Lyle, Jr. (Pauline) Flugum of Myrtle, Dave (Kim) Flugum of Austin, and Denise (Jerry) Lee of Emmons; grandchildren, Jeremy (Cherish) Flugum, Nicolaus (Sarah) Flugum, Joshua Lee, Jennifer Flugum, Robert Flugum, Brandon Lee, Justin Lee, and Brooke Flugum; great-grandchildren, Chase Flugum, Tayah Lee, and Landon Lee; sisters, Linda Dahl and Marjorie Lenz; brothers, Wilbert (Ardene) Neve, and Richard (Beverly) Neve; sisters-in-law, Judy Neve and JoAnn Flugum; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Erylss was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lyle, Sr.; grandson, Jonathan Flugum; brothers, Bernard (Marie) Neve and Kenneth Neve; father-in-law, Joseph Flugum; mother-in-law, Grace Flugum; and brothers-in-law, Harold Dahl, Arnold Lenz, and James Flugum.
