Lloyd Raymond, 88, Lakeville

Funeral services for Lloyd Raymond Larson, 88, of Lakeville, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Bayview Freeborn Funeral Home, Albert Lea. The Rev. Allan Stoa will officiate. Interment will be in the Geneva Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Lloyd died on Monday, Sept. 17, 2007, at Augustana Health Care Center in Apple Valley.
Lloyd Raymond Larson was born on June 26, 1919, to Helmer and Minnie (Reierson) Larson in Worth County, Iowa. He grew up in the Northwood area. Lloyd married Ruth Elizabeth McCoy on Oct. 6, 1953. The coupled lived in the Albert Lea area after they were married. Lloyd worked for Midland Co-op as a truck driver, also for Miami Margarine, and the Albert Lea Tribune. He ran a concession stand at the beach on Fountain Lake. In 1969, Lloyd and his wife bought the Florence Hotel in Winnebago where he also worked as a milk tester for DHIA. They moved to Blue Earth in 1978 where they managed the Crescent Apartments for a few years. They returned to the Albert Lea area before moving to Austin, and finally, Lakeville. Lloyd loved horses and was very mechanical.
Survivors include his wife Ruth; children, Tim (Nancy) Larson of Burnsville, and Terry (Linda) Larson of Apple Valley; grandchildren, Kristin, Lindsay and Molly Larson, Adam, Sarah, and Jared Larson.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister in infancy.
