Nadine Wadding, 84, Albert Lea

Funeral services for Nadine Wadding, 84, of Albert Lea, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home. The Rev. Judy Wadding will officiate. Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, Glenville. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service.

Nadine died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2007, at Albert Lea Medical Center.

Nadine Wadding was born on April 2, 1923, to Alvin and Hilda (Bakka) Riskedahl in Bath Township, Freeborn County. She moved to Albert Lea when she was 18 years old. Nadine married Orval Hartin on July 6, 1947, in Albert Lea. She worked various jobs including a dispatcher for Wadding Trucking. Nadine married Earl Wadding on April 30, 1977, in Austin. She retired from Land O&8217;Lakes in 1982. Nadine was a member of the United Methodist Church, Albert Lea Eagles, Glenville American Legion Auxiliary, and the Elks. She enjoyed baking and visiting with her many friends and family and donating to various charities.

Survivors include her children, Barbara (James) Bighley of Albert Lea and Brad Hartin of Albert Lea; special granddaughter, Missy Bighley; other daughter, Jelaine Horton of Wisconsin; step children, Kelly (Mary) Wadding of Austin, Kim (Judy) Wadding of Dubuque, Iowa, Kris (Greg) Hanson of Albert Lea, Kasey (Deb) Wadding of Iowa; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were all very special to her; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law; and many cousins.

Nadine was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Orval and Earl; and brothers-in-law, Wayne Wadding, Orien Sorbo and Dale Wadding.
