CLEVELAND &8212; The Glenville-Emmons football team took a physical beating against Cleveland Friday night as it lost 46-8.

The Wolverines lost two starters in Bridger Bjorklund and Garrett Schumaker early in the game while running back Logan Hansen suffered a broken nose.

&8220;We couldn&8217;t do much offensively and we were down to just four juniors and seniors on the team,&8221; G-E head coach Derek Nelson said. &8220;We only had 14 kids dressed so it makes it hard to play.&8221;

Cleveland jumped out to a 22-point lead after the first quarter and was up 32-0 at halftime. The Wolverines struggled stopping the run around the end all game long.

Glenville-Emmons&8217; lone score came in the fourth quarter when Seth Stadheim ran the ball in from six yards out and Hansen added the two-point conversion on a run.

Nelson was pleased with what he saw out of sophomore Michael Adams who was moved to quarterback for the game. Nelson said he plans to shake up his lines going into next week to try to help the team score more.

The Wolverines are now 0-3 on the season.
