The Worth County Sheriff&8217;s Office and the Iowa Department of Natural Resources found the body of a 60-year-old drowning victim Thursday afternoon in Rice Lake, northwest of Joice.

The body was found at 2:45 p.m. and has been identified as Richard B. Schmidt Jr., who is from the Joice area.

Schmidt is believed to have been fishing at the time of the incident.

No other information is available at this time.

The Worth County Sheriff&8217;s Office and the Iowa DNR will continue to investigate the incident.
