Bradley Sweet, 59, Eagan

Bradley C. Sweet, former resident of Alden, died Sept. 28, 2007, following a massive stroke 12 days earlier. He was a resident of the Twin Cities.
Bradley is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard (Maxine) Sweet, former residents of Alden. They now reside in Albert Lea at Bancroft Creek Estates.
Bradley was born Nov. 19, 1947. He graduated from Alden High School in 1965, then Iowa State University in 1969 with a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering. He served in the Army in Yuma, Ariz., before earning a law degree in 1974 from the University of Minnesota. He had been employed as an attorney by the 3M company in St. Paul since 1974.
Bradley was married to the former Nancy Johnson of Kankakee, Ill., in 1973. She survives him. The Sweets have lived in Eagan, a suburb of St. Paul, since 1986.
Bradley and his wife have successfully bred and shown top-winning English Cocker Spaniels for more than 25 years. They have been active in the national breed club, the English Cocker Spaniel Club of America. Mr. Sweet served on its board for several years, including a three-year term as president. He also enjoyed golf and fly-fishing.
