Burglaries reported at strip mall

Two burglaries were reported at stores in the strip mall across from Wal-Mart, according to police reports.
Reports indicated one burglary was reported at Tam Nails at 1637 Blake Ave. at 9:58 a.m. Saturday. The owner found that someone had been inside the business, but there were no visible signs of forced entry. The cash register was lying on the ground and papers were scattered. Eight-hundred dollars in cash was taken and it is estimated that it will cost $250 to repair the register, according to reports.
The second burglary was reported at Cost Cutters at 1633 Blake Ave. at 10:50 a.m. Reports indicated the drawers were partly opened at several of the cutting stations and the fire safe was found in the middle of the floor with the door pried open, but nothing was taken.
Houses broken into
A house on the 400 block of East Fifth Street was reported broken into at 10:47 a.m. Saturday, according to reports. Reports indicated a Realtor who was showing the house noticed the back door had been open. Graffiti was written on the walls and some light fixtures were broken, but nothing was missing.
A second house was reported broken into at 3:26 p.m. Sunday on the 400 block of Winter Avenue, reports stated. Police reports indicated a window had been removed to get in and some money was taken.
Vehicle broken into
A vehicle was reported broken into at 9:13 p.m. Sunday on the 200 block of South Pearl Street, according to police reports. Reports indicated some items were taken.
