Memorial services for Darla R. Blowers, 40, of Albert Lea, will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, at Salem Lutheran Church. The Rev. Jay Dahlvang will officiate. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Darla died on Sunday, Oct. 14, 2007, at St. Mary&8217;s Hospital in Rochester.

Darla Rae Blowers was born on Oct. 24, 1966, in Albert Lea the daughter of Alvin and Waunita (Cunningham) Blowers. She lived here all of her life, graduating from Albert Lea High School in 1984. Darla worked at various jobs around Albert Lea, most recently as an associate at Wal-Mart. She attended Salem Lutheran Church where she had been baptized and confirmed. She enjoyed doing puzzles, especially crosswords, collecting horses, and going fishing.

Darla is survived by her mother, Waunita of Albert Lea; her brother, Doug Blowers of Albert Lea; nephews: Travis, Troy, Jeff, and Thomas; and her niece Marcy.

Darla was preceded in death by her dad, Alvin; her sisters Vicky and Penny; and her niece, Tanya.
