Driver dies in accident

SCARVILLE, Iowa &8212; Cory Harrison, 28, of Scarville, Iowa, died as the result of his Dodge Ram pickup running off
Winnebago County R50 west of Scarville at 2:33 a.m. Sunday. According to the Iowa State Patrol, the vehicle rolled over and Harrison was ejected.
The patrol was assisted at the accident scene by the Scarville Fire Department.
The patrol&8217;s report said this accident remains under investigation.
Restaurant broken into
The Trumble&8217;s Restaurant on East Main Street was reported broken into at 5:28 a.m. Sunday, according to police reports. Reports indicated the back emergency door was pried open and some petty cash was taken out of the drawer. A safe inside the restaurant also appeared to have been pried open, but nothing was inside to be taken. Damage from the break-in is estimated at $1,000.
Cars reported broken into
Police reports indicated three cars were reported broken into over the weekend. First, several saws and drills were reported stolen out of a vehicle on the 2100 block of Kenneth Drive at 9:20 a.m. Friday.
A vehicle was also reported broken into on the 500 block of Pilot Street at 7:04 a.m. Saturday, reports stated. In this case the stereo was taken.
Lastly, a car was reported broken into on the 2300 block of Milo Avenue at 11:32 a.m. Saturday. The stereo was also taken, police reports stated.
Two cited
for shoplifting
Police cited two juveniles for shoplifting at ShopKo at 4:01 p.m. Saturday, according to reports.
