Panthers take 7th at Blue Earth Invite

BLUE EARTH &8212; The New Richland Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva volleyball team finished seventh at the Blue Earth Invite over the weekend.

The Panthers started strong posting a win over Medford to begin pool play 25-11, 25-19. Cailin Timm had five kills and Taylor Wacholz had 10 digs.

NRHEG would fall to the host team in its next match 24-26, 25-27. The Panthers had a 9-3 lead in game one but made errors at the wrong time.

The Panthers closed out pool play with a 19-25, 25-20 split with Martin County West. Emily Dahle had nine assists while Timm had five kills and Hagen had four.

NRHEG dominated the seventh-place match beating Albert Lea 25-15, 25-11.

&8220;The girls came out on fire and never looked back,&8221; NRHEG head coach Nicole Kuhns said. &8220;We did everything well and the kids had fun.&8221;
