Geneva Lake being treated

A pesticide application by helicopter of Geneva Lake was scheduled for Saturday but weather conditions were not permitting. If weather allows the Department of Natural Resources will try again today. Access to the lake is marked no access, according to the Freeborn County Sheriff&8217;s Office. If application occurs today, the DNR will take six hours to complete the application, on both the east and west side of County Road 45. Minor ground service applications will be done as well, according to the Sheriff&8217;s Office.
Man arrested for DWI
Mario Emilio Martinez, 26, was arrested at 1:08 a.m. Sunday on West William Street for DWI, a local warrant and fleeing on foot, police reports stated.
