Alfred Seedorf, 88, Walters

Alfred Seedorf, 88, of Walters, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2007, as a result of a car accident. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Mansfield Lutheran Church in rural Walters. The Rev. Donald Rose will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Mansfield Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Alfred John Seedorf was born Feb. 14, 1919, on the family farm in Kiester Township, Faribault County, the son of William and Emma (Paul) Seedorf. He married Florence Freidel on Sept. 6, 1953, in Walters. Following their marriage, they farmed in the Walters area and raised three sons. Alfred was a member of Mansfield Lutheran Church. Alfred loved to drive. Everyday he drove into Albert Lea for coffee and visiting with friends. He enjoyed eating ice cream and pie.
He loved his family and enjoyed being with his grandchildren. Alfred enjoyed his years farming. He retired in 1985, but kept active by helping with the chores.
He is survived by three sons: Duane (Terry) Seedorf of Lake Mills, Iowa, and their daughters, Jessica and Nodira (husband Matt); Steven (Terri) Seedorf of Wells and their children: Tiffany, Tanner and Trinity Seedorf; and Bradley (Cindy) Seedorf of Walters and their children: Jeremie Seedorf and his fianc/ Ashley Dylla, Jonathan, Jamie and Jenni Seedorf; five step grandchildren; one sister, Bernice (Henry) Garvick of Kiester; and special niece, Lorraine Severson of Forest City, Iowa.
Preceding him in death were his parents; wife Florence; one brother,
Floyd Seedorf; and three sisters, Birdella Wegner, Tina Mueller and Evelyn Iverson.
