Editorial: School lunch was never better

Lakeview Elementary School&8217;s holiday lunch is impressive. Having students dress up and eat a meal using manners teaches them skills they could utilize as they grow older.
That, and, well, the event is very cute.
This reminds us of the value of teaching ballroom dancing to high school students.
They are connected because they both teach students social skills, and social skills are often assumed rather than taught.
A student might become the brightest mathemetician at 3M but would look out of place at a business luncheon without manners.
Modern living leaves less room for preparing children for the good side of the adult world. Kudos to the school for holding a holiday lunch.
