AUSTIN &8212; The Glenville-Emmons girls&8217; basketball team picked up its first win of the season Tuesday downing Lyle/Pacelli 50-34.

The Wolverines, who are now 1-3 on the season, outscored L/P 30-14 in the second half to secure the win.

&8220;Both teams started slow in the first half and I would say we scored most of our second half points in the last eight minutes of the game,&8221; G-E head coach Lisa Ziebell said. &8220;Offensively, we are still trying to get things going, but we are playing well on the defensive end.&8221;

Ziebell gave credit to her bench for solid minutes contributed throughout the game.

Karissa Olson led the Wolverines with 14 points, while Jordan VanRyswyk had 10 points and 10 rebounds for the double-double.

The Wolverines are back in action tonight when they host the Minnesota School for the Deaf.
