No. 4 Rebels roll in first dual meet

WELLS &8212; The fourth-ranked United South Central wrestling team opened its dual season with an impressive 59-18 win over Blue Earth Area.
Dustin Dylla opened up the dual with an 8-5 decision over Jake Wirtjes before the next seven matches all ended in pins.
Zach Wigern pinned his opponent in 5:31 at 112, but Blue Earth got six points back when Ernest Robledo was stuck in 5:24.
Preston Staloch earned a second period pin at 125 and second-ranked Seth Amberg needed just 2:48 to end his match at 130.
Blue Earth&8217;s Mark Bartley pinned Dylan Nelson at 135, but Matthew Wood and Dylan Thisius had pins to increase the Rebels&8217; lead to 33-12.
Top-ranked Jake Bonsack earned a technical fall in 5:02 over Daniel Eckhardt for USC at 152, Jake Herman, Nathan Goette and Nick Stevermer all followed with pins.
The Rebels&8217; A.J. Dreyer was pinned by Mat Willner at 215, but USC&8217;s No. 10 Mike Linder ended the dual with a 4-3 win over Jake Lee.
The Rebels were back in action Saturday at the tournament in Blue Earth.
