FARIBAULT &8212; After winning its first game of the season last Friday, the United South Central boys&8217; basketball team looked to make it two in a row Tuesday night in Faribault. But instead of celebrating a two-game win streak the Rebels were disappointed with a 21-point loss to third-ranked Bethlehem Academy, 54-33.
The Rebels trailed 30-17 at the half but just couldn&8217;t find an answer for FBA&8217;s Chris Palmer and Jordan Clark who led all scorers with 21 and 13 points, respectively.
USC used its balanced scoring to stay in the contest in the second half when it was outscored by just eight, but the first half damage was too much for the Rebels to overcome as they fall to 1-4 overall.
USC was led by Brian Hauge with eight points while Jake Sonnek added seven.
After a short holiday break the Rebels will be back in action next Friday when they travel to Blue Earth for a two-day holiday tournament.
