Joyce Anderson, 66, of Sheffield, Iowa, died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008, at her home. Memorial services will be held 1 p.m., Saturday at Mason City Baptist Church, 1805 S. Wilson Ave, Mason City, Iowa, with the Rev. Jerry Hull presiding. Interment will be at a later date at Greenwood Cemetery, Glenville.

Joyce Rae Anderson was born June 23, 1941, in Des Moines, Iowa, a daughter of James and Marcell (Pratt) Cunningham. She attended school in Des Moines and Ames.

On Nov. 16, 1959, Joyce was united in marriage with Gary Anderson in Des Moines, Iowa. To this union two children were born. Joyce worked as a waitress while raising her family. She attended Mason City Baptist Church and was a member of the Elks Lodge and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed bingo, fishing and spending time with her family.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Gary (Jackie) Anderson Jr. of Glenville and Kimberly (Jeff) Mosier of Sheffield, Iowa; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister: Joan Ellen McCormick; brothers; Jerry Wayne (Evelyn) Cunningham and John Presley (Margie) Cunningham; and several nieces and nephews.

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents; husband Gary; and brother James Leon Cunningham.
