Marvin Lien, Albert Lea

Marvin Herbert Lien of Albert Lea passed away. A funeral service will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Graceland Cemetery.
Marvin was born April 11, 1916, in St. Croix, Wis., to Knute Sebert and Elizabeth Catherine (Mielke) Lien. He moved to Albert Lea in 1929 when he was in the eighth grade. He was a member of Zion Luthern Church and VFW Post 447. He enjoyed a cabin near Brainerd, Canterbury Park and gathering with his family.
He was a World War II veteran in the Army National Guard. He served from 1940 to 1945.
He was survived by his sister, Eleanor Fuller of Albert Lea; brother, Sanford (Neva) Lien of Albert Lea; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Verdon, Lawrence, Herman and Oliver; and sister, Charlotte Brouwers.
