Tigers up to No. 7 in wrestling rankings, USC still at No. 5

The Albert Lea wrestling team moved up one spot to No. 7 in the latest Class AAA rankings while United South Central remained at No. 5 in Class A.
The Tigers are ranked one spot behind Owatonna with the two set to square off in a dual which will decide the Big Nine Conference champion Saturday in Owatonna.
Apple Valley remains the top-ranked team in Class A while Jackson County Central is the No. 1 team in Class A.
The Tigers saw freshman Cory Hansen move up one spot at 103 to second, junior Cody Hansen remains top-ranked at 112 and sophomore Trevor Rasmussen is No. 5 at 125. Junior Logan Kortan remains second at 140 and senior Logan Hansen moved up to third at 171.
USC senior Jake Bonsack remained top-ranked at 140, senior Seth Amberg is fifth at 125, senior Nick Stevermer broke into the rankings at No. 10 at 189 and senior heavyweight Mike Linder is No. 8.
New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva&8217;s lone ranked wrestler is senior Gaven Schlaak who is fifth at 160.
