Have you noticed videos at AlbertLeaTribune.com? If not, please go there and click on the YouTube link on the left side of the homepage.
The Tribune considers its online version and its print version as two distinct and separate publications. There are some aspects about the print version you cannot find in the online version and vice versa. Most daily newspapers operate the same way.
Videos, obviously, aren&8217;t in the print version.
The Tribune plans to update its online publication this year, but before we get to that point, the news staff has been working toward the needs of new forms of media. That includes videos. For now, we use YouTube. Our future site will have video capability.
A lot of the credit for shooting the videos goes to newsroom clerk Danielle Boss, who handles a lot of online responsibilities. She has become our videographer, too.
Do you want to see the Tribune&8217;s new pressroom? It&8217;s there.
Do you want to see the interior of the refurbished Albert Lea Medical Center? It&8217;s there.
Do you want to see the art hanging on the walls at the Albert Lea Art Center this month? It&8217;s there.
Do you want to see and hear Harmony Junction sing on Valentine&8217;s Day? It&8217;s there.
Are you a snowbird and haven&8217;t seen the new footbridge to Katherine Island? It&8217;s there.
Are you a snowbird and want to see what a recent snowstorm in Albert Lea looked like? It&8217;s there.
In all, there are close to 20 videos. Presently, we shoot to add a new video each weekday.
There&8217;s more. The Tribune&8217;s other online extras &8212; such as extra photos of various events covered in the print edition &8212; still can be found at
AlbertLeaTribune.com and click on the Extra Tribune logo in the upper left corner.
