Sen. Barack Obama won the Freeborn County Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party caucus by a mere nine votes. Final turnout had Sen. Hillary Clinton with 295 votes, Obama with 304 votes, Sen. John Edwards with 11 votes, one vote for Rep. Dennis Kucinich and eight uncommitted.

The Democratic caucus had a record turnout with 619 people voting, and more observing the democratic process.

Freeborn County will be sending four delegates each for Obama and Clinton to the state convention.
