Marjorie Linquist, 84, Albert Lea

Funeral services for Marjorie Jean Linquist, 84, of Albert Lea, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Dan Baker will officiate. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service.
Marjorie died Monday, Feb. 25, 2008, at the Good Samaritan Center.
Marjorie Jean Linquist was born on Oct. 19, 1923, in Albert Lea to Carl and Mabel (Halvorson) Thompson. Marjorie was baptized and confirmed at First Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. She graduated from Albert Lea High School. After school, she married Bernard Linquist at First Lutheran Church. Marjorie worked at various businesses in bookkeeping and her last employment was in real estate.
Survivors include her daughter, Barbara (Harley) Mehrer of Yankton, S.D.; sons, Gerald (Renita) Linquist of Albert Lea and David (Alyson) Linquist of Lake Mills; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy (Don) Trustem, Shirley Larson and Mary Erickson; brothers, Raymond (Sandra) Thompson, Clayton (Judy) Thompson, Lawrence Thompson; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bernard; daughter, Sandra Peterson; son, Randall Linquist; sister, Helen Brown; and brother, Robert Thompson.
