Neola G. (Schultz) Reich was born on Christmas Day, 1919, in Rochester, the daughter of Carl and Johanna Schultz.

She married Elmer Reich Jr. in Rochester and they made their home in Austin for more than 50 years.

Neola enjoyed being involved in bowling league, the neighborhood birthday club and playing cards. She made a warm and loving home for her husband and six children.

Neola had been living with her daughter Susan in Albert Lea the past few years and had recently entered Good Samaritan Center in Albert Lea due to a fall. Neola died on Sunday, Feb. 10, 2008, at the Good Samaritan Center at the age of 88.

She is survived by five children: Sandra Reich of Arvada, Colo., Larry Reich and his wife Susan of Maryland, Lynn Reich and his wife Margie of Apple Valley, Diane Anderson of Milwaukee, Wis., Susan and her husband Robert Staloch of Albert Lea; grandchildren: Andrew, Alex and Kendra Reich, Kellie Steward, Teresa Parrish, Ruth VanScoyk, Kassi Reich, Christine and Brian Staloch; seven great-grandchildren; sister Eleanor Montemayer of Texas; and nieces and nephews.

Neola was preceded in death by her husband Elmer, son Brian, and brothers Walter, Paul, Carl, and Richard Schultz.

Memorial graveside services will be held at Grandview Cemetery in Austin at a later date.
