ST. PAUL &8212; United South Central wrestler Jake Bonsack won Thursday to advance in the state wrestling tournament at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.

Bonsack, in the 140-pound weight class, defeated Zach Pesch of LeSueur-Henderson in a 7-3 decision.

Bonsack will face Trey VanOrsdel of Wadena-Deer Creek in the semifinals Friday.
